Who we are.
Irish Musicians for Palestine is a collective of musicians and creatives primarily based in Ireland. The group was created to raise funds and awareness for the people of Palestine through music and community. The group's primary focus is to raise much needed humanitarian relief for those suffering in Gaza and the West Bank, whilst also raising awareness on the atrocities being committed by Israel. The organisation brings artists across different genres and disciplines into a shared effort to support civilians affected by violence and displacement in this ongoing humanitarian crisis.
We use live music events, art, cultural gatherings, and collaborative and creative merchandise in order to raise financial support for our selected humanitarian organisations, Aida, the Red Cross Palestine and Doctors Without Borders, all of which are working directly on the ground with the people in desperate need. These activities are rooted in community accessibility and the belief that art and culture can play a vital role in a call for justice.
why this matters ?
The current situation in Palestine needs urgent attention. Since Israel's assault began, multiple health officials have reported that the death toll of Palestinians has reached over 90,000, with over 38.5% of these deaths being children. For many Irish artists, the crisis has demanded a collective response that goes beyond statements or symbolism.
Ireland has a long history of understanding the effects of occupation and state violence. Irish music and culture have historically played a role in expressing resistance and preserving cultural identity. For many of the Irish people, the current situation is the occupied West Bank and Gaza, with the Irish historical experience.
how we operate.
Irish Musicians for Palestine is an artists led non profit collective. All musicians, artists and organisers involved contribute their time and work on a voluntary basis.
Live performances, events, and creative work are donated by artists associated with us, and we are always looking for new people to join the team. We organise music releases and cultural events specifically to raise funds for Humantrain Relief, with no performance fees paid. All money is raised through ticket sales, merchandise, and donations. This money goes towards people working on the ground in Palestine, like the Red Cross Palestine, Aida and Doctors Without Borders.
Further information about the incredible charities and funds raised can be found on the donations section of the website
